2011: Happen to Life

Know Where You Are Going In Life

It is time for God’s people to realize that they do not have to sit back and watch life happen to them, but that they can begin to happen to life. We are entering into a season of time when things in the world are going to be chaotic and disorderly. Modern economist and well respected financial leaders of our world have been issuing warnings about the state of the American economy. There is a strong likelihood that life and finance as America has known previously is about to be shaken.

In Biblical numerology, the number 11 is associated with times of disorder and chaos. Those, who are walking with God, who are His children, have nothing to fear. God is in control and He will care for His children. Our God is a God of order and He will bring order in the midst of chaos. It is crucial, however, that you prepare yourself and begin listening to the direction and the instruction that God is giving you.

It is no longer OK to go with the flow and let life carry you where-ever the wind is blowing. God has filled you with the Holy Spirit and given you an anointing to know what is coming so that you can strategically prepare and plan for what is ahead.

1 John 2:20 says: “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.” . God has given us His Spirit to speak to us and to show us the way.

Write the Vision

As we prepare to go into 2011, I charge you to take the next five weeks and seek God for direction in five specific areas of your life. As you seek Him over these next several weeks, write down what he is speaking to you. It is imperative that you WRITE IT DOWN.

If you do not write it down then you can be sure, it will not happen. God’s word says in Habakkuk 2:2 “..write the vision, and make it plain.”

I especially like the way the Message version lays it out.

And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.

Remember you have a destiny, and you can’t leave that destiny to chance. Your life is not over until you fulfil the destiny that God has put you on earth to fulfill. You must determine to set your course and write it down to declare what God has spoken to you about your life. When you do this, no amount of chaos, no amount of disorder, no outside voices will be able to deter you from what God has spoken to you.

Five Areas to Act On

For the next several weeks, I want you to seek God, block out all the other voices around you and seek Him and His word for you in 2011. Place a demand on the anointing inside of you to show you what is to come for you in 2011. Readjust your spiritual settings and turn up the volume of the voice of God in your life. Write down what you hear God speak to you in these five areas.

Your Ministry

Your Finances

Your Community

Get yourself a journal or a notebook that you can use to write what God is saying to you for these areas. If you don’t like to handwrite things then open up your computer or pull out your smart phone and write it electronically.
